TRENTON, NJ (July 7, 2016) – Undefeated prospect Eddie Ramirez (13-0, 9 KOs) will take on Californian contender Jessie Roman (20-2, 9 KOs) in a 10-round super lightweight matchup on Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN and ESPN Deportes Saturday, July 9 from Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey.

Televised coverage begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT and is headline by undefeated rising contender Mario Barrios taking on former title challenger Devis Boschiero in a 130-pound title eliminator.

A Chicago Golden Gloves champion, Ramirez knocked out seven of his first nine professional opponents and picked up five victories in 2015 including a decision over former world champion Cristobal Cruz. The 23-year-old debuted in 2016 with a second round stoppage of Osumanu Akaba in April

Fighting out of Santa Ana, California, Roman turned pro in 2009, one year after his older brother Jose began fighting professionally. Undefeated in his first 16 pro fights, the 25-year-old has won three fights in a row, including a dominant decision victory in his last outing against veteran Hector Serrano.
